1.0 The Basics
These are the most essential parts of uTanks that every new recruit should know by heart:
Factions- There are four factions in uTanks, each represented by a different color: red, blue, orange, and purple. Each faction fights against the other three for higher rank and higher positions on the leaderboards.
Fuel- This is the equivalent of health in uTanks. It is also used for use of basic functions such as shooting, planting mines, and teleporting. Fuel can be found by radaring the area.
Equipment- Used to enhance your tanks capabilities, this can be found in boxes on the field by radaring.
General Equipment Capacity- Often abbreviated GEC, maximum carrying capacity for equipment.
Promotion Points- Often abbreviated PP, accumulated by attacking and deactivating enemy tanks. PP is required to rank up and to climb the leaderboard. The more PP you accumulate, the higher your ranking on the leaderboards will be.
Map- The map allows you to view the position of enemy tanks and fuel barrels of 500 or higher. Clicking on the map teleports you to the coordinates clicked location.
Mines- Mines are used to prevent an enemy from moving or teleporting to an area, such as fuel barrel or equipment locations. Enemy tanks may not teleport onto mines, and attempting to drive over mines will halt the enemy tank and cause damage to it.
Radar- The radar is used to discover new fuel barrels, equipment, and enemy mines.

2.0 Field Guide
When you choose to fight for our faction, we expect you to give it everything you've got. Rack up points, bring honor to the faction, and always go for the deactivation. The following are some situations you may encounter on the field and some advice on how to handle these situations.
2.1 Bases
When a team mate asks you to help build a base, be ready to help out. Bases are normally built in strategic, mountainous locations on the map to serve as safe havens when the field gets too hot. You can build a base by laying mines and blocking off any open entrances with rocks. Not only will this give you a safe place to find fuel and equipment, but you will also meet new allies on the field.
Don't forget to be on the lookout for enemy bases as well. Team up with your faction to disrupt enemy base building operations and invade any heavily mined areas. Mountainous base areas are vital to our success on the field, so make this a priority.
2.2 Raids
A raid is a strategic two or more player attack on an enemy. These occur often, as the enemy is always trying to find new ways to achieve victory. As a new recruit, you must quickly adapt to these attacks and learn to cooperate with your faction to coordinate counter-raids. If an enemy attacks you with a raid, do your best to fight back. After all, this is a war not just for victory, but for honor as well. You will be awarded raid taking bonus points for fighting five or more players at once. Honor is something our faction values.
2.3 Tournaments
Tournaments are prestigious, time limited competitions open to all players. Placing in the top three at the end of a tournament is the only way to win a cup award. Also, some conditions are different in tournaments. For example GEC is much higher because time is very limited and action is very intense. You may only be deactivate two times before being eliminated from the tournament. Tournaments are moderated as well to guard against free kills and hacking. Please see the
Tournament page for a full tournament schedule and more details on tournament rules.
There are many different tournament strategies, but the most basic is to always max out your initial GEC at recruit before jumping into the fray. You may feel like you are losing ground to others who immediately jump into battle, but you will quickly pass them up once you start using dual shots. Beyond this basic strategy, tournament strategies vary and are very different from one another. Find veteran tournament players from your faction and ask for tips. Remember, it takes a long time to find and perfect the tournament strategy that works best for you. Do not be discouraged if you fail to win your first few tournaments. Persistence is one of the many paths to success!
2.4 Collaborating with the Enemy
Sometimes, players of opposing factions may offer to help you out. Do not trust them. Collaborating with the enemy is something we do not allow in uTanks. Treason is the greatest insult to a faction's pride. Collaborating with the enemy to achieve higher rank, to fight without the intent to deactivate, or to win tournaments is strictly forbidden.
